Redirect with Respect

Off-task behavior is inevitable—but chaos doesn’t have to be. In this practical and upbeat training, infant, toddler and preschool teachers will explore respectful, effective strategies for redirecting student behavior without escalating conflict. Participants will learn how to distinguish between tiers of behaviors, use clear and consistent language, apply logical consequences, and implement proactive tools. Through real-world scenarios, this session equips staff with confidence and clarity to manage challenging moments with empathy, consistency, and calm. Because when we redirect with respect, we build trust—and teach responsibility.
